Our artisan roasting process is designed to articulate and enhance the aroma and flavour and unique personality of a toiled harvest. It’s because we understand the seasonality and complexities of specialty coffee that consistency remains a focus. We know there’s no shortcut to optimal flavour. And we know there’s no purpose without it.
At Zest we pride ourselves on our passion for flavour in the cup. It all begins with the consumer in mind, and that being the majority of us Australians drinking a milk based coffee. With this in mind we source, roast and blend our coffees to achieve that sweetness in the cup.
It doesn’t stop there, also catering for the coffee aficionados, like us, who appreciate the balanced acidity and the body found in some of this worlds most amazing micro-lots.
Fermentation is an opportunity to impart flavours and complexity into what would otherwise be sold as commodity coffee. We seek to create flavours that would otherwise not have existed and in so doing enable farmers and co-ops to sell their lots at a premium.
