Introducing the Orea Flat Filter Paper — Type G.

Designed specifically for Orea’s flat-bed brewers, this filter sits snugly in the cone to reduce bypass and keep the water moving exactly where it should: through the coffee. The result is a more even extraction and noticeably sweeter cups.

Type G is Orea’s original all-purpose paper. One side is smooth, the other lightly creped — a simple detail that shapes the way it performs. For best results, place the smooth side toward the coffee bed and let the creped side face the brewer, where it helps maintain consistent flow.

With a medium flow rate, Type G encourages slightly longer contact time, giving you room to grind a touch coarser while still achieving full, rounded extractions. The paper itself is made from premium Japanese stock and cut with precision, giving it the structure needed to hold its shape during brewing.
